I completed one week of paid work behind the scenes as an extra hand to the production secretaries and location managers for the twelfth television series of hit comedy Red Dwarf. Excellent communication skills and having confidence and stamina was vital.

As part of the 'EXTRA scheme' at the Nuffield Theatre I worked in the marketing department, planning campaigns to maximise publicity to students. The achievement I am most proud of was my idea to devise a social media campaign in Mandarin for the 2015 Winter production with the intention to attract the vast numbers of International students who study at the university, to the local theatre. The results of this attempt showed a sizable increase in Chinese student sales. I equally enjoyed the experiences of attending press nights and networking meetings as well as achieving goals as part of a small focused team in an office environment.

I variated from working full time and part time throughout my 2+ years at the shop. My main duty was the general running of the shop by myself during the weekdays which involved using electronic till systems, taking and placing orders for events, and using helium tanks to create balloon displays for customers.
