Personal services• Advisory role for the nutrition of pregnant and breastfeeding women.
• Diet planning for patients with special dietary needs (post general or plastic surgery or with health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, cancer, as well as gastro-intestinal disorders e.g. Crohn's disease, Coeliac disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
• Coordination of the hospital’s multi-disciplinary team for Food Quality Assurance and Food safety (ISO 22000:2005) and continuous supervision of compliance and updating of the system’s procedures.
• Close collaboration with the kitchen premises/ food preparation services and communication with food suppliers to ensure food quality standards are met.
• Delivery of educational sessions/ seminars regarding diet plans offered within the clinic -addressed to the hospital’s nursing staff- as well as on practices for safe food distribution, preparation and storage addressed to the hospital’s kitchen staff.
