During my time at the company, I have learnt to overcome challenges such as early starts and late finishes, as well as dealing with staff members with little to no English skills and communicating my viewpoint.

I also assisted in loading and unloading vans which required good communication with both my supervisor as well as the van delivery staff. Throughout this job, I overcame many difficulties such as working in wet weather, dealing with heavy or faulty furniture and leaky roofs which taught me to think on my feet and effectively tackle the situation.

NCS The Challenge is a summer program which aims to develop your skills and confidence as well as helping you to improve on anything you struggle with. For me, one of the biggest things I overcame was my fear of jumping in open water. As well as this, over the course of my time at NCS , I learnt to overcome my fears of talking to new people and made lots of new friends who I still regularly contact. I was also faced with many unique opportunities which helped me to become an active member of the NCS community.
