Process Design Engineer

- Projects handled: 1. Analysis and optimization of flows in liquid-liquid extractor: Simulated the pilot plant- scale rotating disc extractor using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) commercial software package. Optimized the flow patterns and suggested changes in the design, which were then implemented in the commercial equipment. 2. Design and optimization of axial flow pump: Analysed the hydrodynamics of axial flow pump using CFD, optimized aerofoil design of the impellers, prepared characteristic curves and coordinated with manufacturing department in production of the efficient pumps.

Chemical Engineer

- Key Responsibilities: Project execution and equipment installation; energy consumption calculations, proposing changes in process and equipment for efficiency enhancement; collaborating with engineering contractors, consultants, vendors, suppliers, plant managers, safety officers, etc. during project execution.

Trainee Chemical Engineer

-  Took lead role in implementing the process for a new product from pilot plant to the production plant.  Organized the plant activities, labour, raw materials, utilities, etc.  Trouble-shooting, daily and periodic maintenance of the plant; collaborating with other departments such as utilities, raw materials, solvent recovery, safety, packaging, etc., for the smooth operation of the process plant
