Résumé

Enthusiastic and driven individual looking to develop a career in design or research. I am particularly interested in the Renewable Energy industry as I see that as the future of our energy production. I have 2 1/2 years experience as a Project Engineer and am looking to further develop my skills. I am a fast learner and am able to work quickly and efficiently to pick up new skills i.e. I learnt about pipeline welding, inspection techniques and standards and regulations associated with this in 3 months, with no prior knowledge of welding held. Please contact me if you wish to know more.

Expériences

Project Engineer

- Conception / Génie civil / Génie industrielWorking with the Offshore Engineering Division I completed the following projects: OFFSHORE PURGING CONSOLIDATION Offshore purging is required for midline tie-ins of subsea pipelines made from clad lined or corrosive resistant alloy (CRA) materials. This project included the outlining of offshore purging methods currently used by Technip as well as feedback from previous projects highlighting the advantages and limitations of the various techniques, as well as identification of failures during offshore projects. The project also included planning for trials to simulate the offshore conditions which led to the failure of some products, allowing for the root cause of failure to be identified and mitigated against for future projects. Key Achievements: Familiarisation of methods available for performing a welding purge during offshore mid-line tie-ins. Liaising with internal company business units and suppliers to identify route cause of failures from previous projects. Completion of technical guidance report identifying the advantages, limitations and track record for the various methods of offshore purging in Technip projects. NON-DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION (NDE) OF PIPELINE GIRTH WELDS A pipeline is produced by welding several sections of pipe together to create the required length, each of these welds must be inspected following strict regulations in order to ensure they are suitable for operation in subsea conditions. The inspection requirements are identified in global documentation including DNV Offshore Standards and Recommended Practices. This project involved a variety of phases, including identification of; the required standards for pipeline production, methods of inspection of pipeline welds, suppliers able to provide the services and their global locations, methods used for previous projects within Technip, as well as cost and schedule impact for the project. The deliverables of the project included; the production of a business case report highlighting the methods available for pipeline inspection as well as a detailed comparison of the cost and schedule impacts depending on the pipeline dimension, scope of work and global location. A supplier database was created to identify the various cost and schedules from available global vendors. Liaising with suppliers allowed for the development of an improved proposal for future projects. The findings of this project were compiled and presented to the global business units within Technip to improve the service provided to clients for future projects. Key Achievements: Familiarisation of requirements of DNV-OS-F101, DNV-RP-F118, API Std 1104, BS EN 16016. Liaising with internal company departments to identify methods used in previous projects. Liaising vendors to develop cost and schedule impact database. Completion of business case report for NDE methods for pipeline girth weld inspection and presentation of project results to other internal business units.

Graduate Project Engineer

- Conception / Génie civil / Génie industrielCompleting Technip's Graduate Engineer Scheme, a 2 year programme working within the different departments in the UK sector, including project teams in UKBU, vessel/equipment management teams in TMOS and research teams in OED. Worked with the Chevron Alder project team to complete the subsea pipeline installation project as detailed below. CHEVRON ALDER- DIVING VESSEL SCOPE The diving scope included installation of a series of tie-in spools prior to pre-commissioning activities and field start up. Role included; the preparation of a lift plan manual, in accordance with LOLER regulations, concrete mattress installation procedure, salt sack recovery procedure and mobilisation procedure. Duties also included the submission of a deposit consent (DEPCON) application, prior to any offshore work being completed, and approval of any seafastening scopes that required input from a licensing body (DNV). Liaising with governing bodies allowed for a smooth transition to gain seafastening approval for work scope. Role also included checking of other documents for the projects composed by members of the project engineering team and presentation of engineers work scope during HIRA and ops review. Key Achievements: Production of a series of project procedures which were successfully implemented offshore. Liaising with governing bodies to ensure swift delivery of seafastening approval. Liaising with clients and internal departments to ensure accurate DEPCON development. Presentation of scope to project team and clients during HIRA and ops review. Production of diving lift plan manual following LOLER regulations. Procurement of key project materials. Compilation of certification for permanent project items, such as spool stud-bolts and nuts, in accordance with quality requirements CHEVRON ALDER- UTILITY VESSEL SCOPE The Chevron Alder field is a high temperature high pressure well, 150m below sea level, in block 15a of the North Sea. The project included the production and installation of a 28 km pipeline and hybrid umbilical, manifold and SSIV structure, tie-in spools and pre-commissioning operations. Graduate Engineer role included; supporting other project engineers in preparation of project procedures, preparation of offshore containers prior to campaign, procurement of project equipment and organisation of vessel deck layouts. Duties also included production of a vessel familiarisation document to present to the client and the platform to allow them to recognise the vessels utilised in the project. Key Achievements: Development of multiple project procedures and documents to client specification. Liaising with technical authorities and government bodies to ensure that the project operates within legislation requirements.

Administration Assitant

- Services à la personneOUTPATIENT RECEPTIONIST Part-time work completed during completion of first and master's degrees at University of Aberdeen. Role included; preparation of patient records for daily clinics within the outpatient departments, liaising with other departments to ensure all information is available to the consultant for clinics. Patient appointments are arranged in a timely manner to suit the patient, where applicable. Updating the patient management system (PMS) with the latest contact information for the patient and booking further appointments for the patient where required. Management of busy clinics either in an individual capacity or as a member of a team in larger clinics. Welcoming patients to the clinic and answering any telephone queries. Key Achievements: Liaise with numerous members of staff within the hospital to ensure a quality of service to the patients within the outpatient clinics. Responsible for running all administrative services from outpatient clinics within the main hospital and also in isolated offsite clinics, either independently or as a member of the administration team. PMS TEAM ASSISTANT Part-time work completed during completion of first and master's degrees at University of Aberdeen. Role involved providing a unique point of view to the development of the patient management system prior to live launch and roll out across the entirety of NHS Grampian. Duties included review of materials to ensure they suited the skills of the training recipients, review of user interface during development of the system. Key Achievements: Assisted with the delivery and launch of the Patient Management System (PMS).

Midshipman (under training)

- Services à la personneActive member of Aberdeen Universities Royal Naval Unit whilst completing engineering degree. Learnt many practical skills during her time there including, team building, leadership, time management, navigation and confidentiality. Key Achievements: Attained the rank of Midshipman-under training, from Officer Cadet, after a years service. Developed knowledge of navigation. Knowledge of the laws of the sea developed.
