Stanford Student Space InitiativeThe Stanford Student Space Initiative is Stanford's largest project-based student group. The group is dedicated to giving future leaders of the space industry hands-on experience. I directed 21 High Altitude Balloon (HAB) launches. I launched a controlled-altitude latex balloon platform that flew over 1,000 miles over 23 hours. I designed and constructed two double-balloon systems for competing in the Global Space Balloon Challenge. I transmitted live images and sensor data from the payload using APRS, Slow Scan TV, and satellite communication. I built and launched a 6 ft. rocket and acquired High Powered Rocketry Certification
