As a Photo Studio Assistant, I was tasked with maintaining a professional running environment in the studio, which included prepping samples for shooting and return, managing returns to the appropriate departments, ensuring that the studio was clean and in working order throughout the day and assisting the photo and beauty teams. During this time I learnt to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment, working towards the objective of the day. I also gained valuable insight into the variety of roles needed for a successful shoot, from styling for commercial purposes to the challenging jobs of models.

E-commerce Assistant

During my time as an e-commerce assistant, I performed a variety of roles in and around the web department. One of the roles I held at BHS was that of social media assistant, which involved monitoring social media channels, assisting with the creating and posting of original content on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, using analytic tools to track interactions, and providing front line customer service. I also wrote entries for the lifestyle blog, making sure to uphold the brand tone of voice and appropriately adapt it for each platform. As a web assistant, my role was more focused on the operation of the e-commerce site. This included testing links on both the live and staging sites, uploading and placing the correct images to the corresponding products and writing copy for category headers and products. During this time I learnt to identify and rectify problems in the most efficient way possible, as well as improving the efficiency of the processes I was tasked with. I had to liaise with various teams and departments, from our graphics team to the in house photo studio, to the relevant product departments in order to ensure that all information was correct and as required.

At SRO Audiences it was my responsibility to admit audience members to various television and theatre recordings, ensuring that check in was fair and efficient for everyone. I worked as part of a team of coordinators to check in audiences and distribute wristbands or tickets as appropriate, as well as providing front line customer service in a variety of locations.
