Nationwide Building Society, Swindon (Contract) 9th March 2016 to 9th September 2016 The core work was on the Mortgage Transformation project which followed the Agile principles and one of the sprints was to reduce the end to end time of processing (from Application to Offer) for specialised lending (Buy to Let). The approach involved creating Value stream maps for the “As-Is” process and design the “To-Be” process by analyzing Transactional data, Customer Experience feedback, Metrics & Measures, and the Underwriting Process analysis. The sprint was constantly challenged with market changes such as stamp duty change and PRA review. The diagnostics study and simulation indicated a project benefit of 9 FTE and a possibly positive impact to the broker experience. Lloyds Commercial Bank, London (Contract) April 2015 to Dec 2015 The contractual assignment at Lloyds Commercial Bank was to work with Global Corporate & Financial Institution customer service teams to reduce the Failure demand specifically for Payments, identify performance metrics and reduce FTEs. The approach involved, analysing the failure demand data, conduct a detailed root cause analysis, restructure the workflows, map out process with metrics/ measurement and build in a knowledge management tool. The project improved the Customer query resolution time from 7 days to less than 3 days with a Query volume reduction by 40%.

Selected Projects & Achievement Retail (Fruit supply chain management) June 2014-Dec 2014 Worldwide Fruits and Marks & Spencer jointly sponsored this project. The overall strategy was to reduce store level waste to less than 5% and increase availability to more than 95% for Apples and Pears. This involved analysis of large data sets and transforming data into actionable information (metrics & Dashboards), introduction of supply chain metrics with control actions, Streamlining forecasting techniques and systems. Short interval control (weekly) by reporting out results to Stakeholders and planning forward actions. Process & Systems Risk analysis. The availability was maintained above 95% with waste reduction from 10% to less than 2% during the control phase. Meat Packing Company (Manufacturing) Nov 2010-May 2014 Conducted a diagnostic study for an Irish Meat packing company in Wales with recommendations on how to reduce the Labour cost per unit and the capacity utilization to improve the Return on Invested Capital. Translated the recommendation into a Site Strategy and drilled it down at shop-floor level, Completion of Base-lining event and target setting. Successful application of Modeling and Optimization with change Management techniques to improve the site capacity utilisation, reduce packaging cost & waste, Improved Forecasting & inventory management with an annualized benefit of more than £ 1 million. Increased the supplier ranking score to a “Gold Category” helping to attract more business as a result of increased capability and compliance. Conducted extensive training in Lean Six Sigma on site to build the team capability and alignment to the overall programme.

Managed a team of 25 Continuous Improvement professionals to deliver business critical projects for Bonds and Pensions processes. Deployed Lean Six Sigma methodology and Change Management techniques to implement improvement projects across teams and across geographical boundaries. Training of team members in DMAIC/ DFSS methodology at Green Belt and Black belt level competency. Selected Achievements (Master Black Belt level projects) Reduction of “End to End” time for Bonds Investment product. The project was focused around improvement of the end-to-end time of a new customer policy. The baseline performance was 20% of the policies issues within 5 working days. Using Lean Six Sigma methodology and IT solutions, the project improved processes to 95% of policies issued within 5 working days. This improvement had significantly reduced the full time employees with a savings of more than £250,000/year. The Customer experience score improved from 20% to 72%. Improving the Customer Advocacy for Pensions products. This project was about streamlining the back end outsourced operation to minimize errors and delays at the customer end. With a strong project management methodology, statistical analysis and design and best practice sharing from the Bonds Project, the Customer Satisfaction score for individual Pensions improved from 52% in May 2006 to 82% by Dec 2006.

- VentesWorked as Black Belt to implement Lean Six Sigma projects in GE countrywide and GE-State Bank of India Credit Card business. Continuous Improvement through Solutions Design, Process Management System, New Product design through Lean/ Agile concept. Selected Achievements Fee Income leakage reduction for Credit card Reduction of late payment fee loss, through a structured root cause analysis and identification of system setting issues on the VISION system (a Credit card transaction processing system). The benefit was a reduction by USD 200,000 with an annualised benefit of USD 650,000. Launching of Flexi pay Advance EMI product New product launched to give the State Bank of India Card holders an option to transfer spends on the card as a Loan product. This was a Lean/Agile project, with an annualized benefit realization of £365,000. Loan application process for GE Countrywide Reduction of defects for the loan application faxing process resulting in reducing the customer waiting time, and freeing up the server storage capacity by 40%.
