Braila TPP, Power Plant Dispatcher
- Conception / Génie civil / Génie industriel Braila TPP, NG / HFO fired power plant consisting of 3 units: one rehabilitated steam turbine of 227 MW with forced circulation boilers of 2 x 330 t/h, 2 x steam turbines of 210 MW each and forced circulation boilers of 2 x 660 t/h.
During this project I was involved as boiler engineer, part of a team with 9 engineers specialized in several fields: boiler, turbine-generator, BOP, water treatment station, district heating, I&C, electric, civil constructions.
The rehabilitation works have been carried out by Alstom GmbH Germany (turbine works), Alstom Energy Systems France (boiler Works) and Fortum OY LTD Finland (I&C/Electrical works) and consultant was LAHMEYER International.
• Perform the commissioning activities of the following systems for the rehabilitated forced circulation boilers 2 x 330 t/h: Control and Protection, Master Fuel Trip Safeties, Water & Steam Systems, Air and Flue Gas System for Burners, Economizer and Sootblowing Steam, Steam Coil Air Preheaters, Economizer and Sootblowing Steam, FO / LP-HP Filtration / HP pumps, Fuel Oil Control Station, Fuel Gas Control Station, Instrument Compressed Air Station, Fireside Catalyst Injection System, Fuel Gas Leakage Detection System.
• study the documentation for new parts and rehabilitated parts for balance of plant, boiler.
• verify the functional diagrams implemented in Damatic Xdi (unit DCS) and BMS (Burning Management System, made by Triconex: Triple Modular Redundant System for Safety) regarding all the boiler system.
• check the automatic start-up and shut down sequences of burners and auxiliary systems.
• perform Performance Tests and UCTE tests (unit operation in primary and secondary control), hot commissioning tests.
• monitor and verify the boiler operation and their auxiliary Systems.
• prepare the operating procedures for boiler operation, boiler control and protection systems, unit (boiler and turbine) operation in primary and secondary control.
