Zodiac Commercial Aircraft Inserts, a global supplier of electrical inserts for the airline industry, is seeking a motivated individual with commercial airline direct sales experience or cabin interior equipment technical knowledge to join our sales team. The position mainly involves direct sales of galley insert equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and manage customer relations for securing existing, follow-on and new business. Customers include airframe OEMs, airlines, aircraft leasing companies, service and repair organizations, and internal customers within Zodiac Aerospace and Safran.

· Identify and cultivate new customers resulting in new business opportunities.

· Manage and follow-up programs from response to request for quotation until delivery of equipment. Ensure after-sales support is a clear priority, leading to benchmark level customer satisfaction.

· Actively participate in product development meetings and brainstorming activities focused on product improvements.

· Interface, survey, benchmark and develop plans to increase current business and develop new business opportunities with established customers.

· Conduct market analysis for specific products and regions to better drive product development and sales activities.

· Participate in forecasting and budgeting exercises.

· Ensure efficient and effective response to customer inquiries by working closely with other departments (i.e. engineering, production, planning and contracts) to develop a cohesive and cross-functional team to support the customers’ needs.

· Organize and conduct presentations of company products and capabilities to current and prospective customers, organizations and trade shows as required.

· Organize company participation in and attend customer meetings, as required.

· Coordinate with Customer Support to determine customer contractual obligations in regards to initial provisioning and aftermarket issues.

· Monitor compliance with customer requirements and remain pro-active in dealing with customer inquiries on both technical and commercial matters.

· Provide detailed sales forecasts for monthly production outlook and annual sales plan. Ensure on time and accurate inputs to both production and financial forecasts, as well as clear participation in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

· Prepare and maintain a comprehensive business plan for assigned responsibilities.

· Support the Accounting department by facilitating and resolving any outstanding invoices or disputes with customer. Create respectful but assertive escalation paths to clear past due accounts.

· Initiate, develop, and distribute performance reports that measure the company’s performance with specific customers. Data includes reports generated internally and/or reports supplied from customers or external sources including, but not limited to, product and repair performances.

· Provide management with trip reports and other business-related meeting summaries as needed.

· Must be concise.
· Facility in multiple languages is a clear plus, but not a firm requirement.

Education and/or Experience:

Candidate must have an engineering degree or equivalent technical degree. Alternatively a B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field and a minimum of three to five years sales or marketing experience in the aerospace industry is needed. Direct technical sales experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments. Moderate to extensive international travel is required. Business level proficiency in English and Mandarin required.

Communication Skills:

Must have the ability to generate clear, high level, effective, written business communication and the ability to read and understand written communication. Excellent communication, a technical and financial understanding, as well as an outgoing personality are essential skills to interface with customers from procurement, supply chain, and engineering departments.

Reasoning Ability:

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
· Ability to respond to customer inquiries or complaints from customers, representatives, or members of the business community

Other Qualifications:

Moderate to extensive travel, both domestic and international, will be required.

This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors, and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using miscellaneous office equipment such as telephone, typing, ten key, fax, copy machine etc. Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job. Extensive travel is required, thus the ability to use all forms of public and private transportation.
