The Production Planner will provide leadership, efficient management and creative problem solving, in department that leads plant operations. Responsible for actively managing production schedules and work in progress in support of the overall Manufacturing plan. Partner with Master scheduler, individual departments and operations leadership to ensure dynamic plan is developed to achieve financial metrics and customer delivery.

Job duties:

· Responsible for Customer On-Time Delivery for assigned programs
· Responsible for leading Materials activities for assigned programs that affect deliveries
· Create and manage planned order requests and interface with the purchasing department
· Manages Work Order flow to the production floor and work order variances.
· Maintains engineering revision control by executing disposition of engineering changes.
· Ensures accuracy of Planning Parameters in ERP system to drive accurate customer service levels and maintain Inventory levels per company policies.
· Works closely with manufacturing and suppliers to prioritize, expedite and de-expedite work orders and purchase orders based on material availability, department resources, changing requirements and customer service requirements
· Lead and/or participates in cross-functional project teams related to planning and purchasing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
· Analyzes production plans, plant capacity and supplier capacity data to determine trends, resource requirements and constraints.
· Works with Production supervisor on a daily basis to monitor status and scheduling in order to obtain on-time delivery of products.
· Works with all teams involve ensuring timely assessment of failed product in incoming Inspection or Production inspection and addresses any planning.
· On a daily basis reviews material availability in ERP/MRP system to plan actions in support of production releases to MPS schedule.
· Leads Customer On-Time Delivery meetings to ensure cross functional actions are completed to support Program deliverables.

.Qualifications:

· Experience: 3-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
· Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
· Strong working knowledge of lean, pull systems, Kanban and JIT
· Must be capable of leading effectively and motivating others to achieve targeted goals
· Strong written communication skills, problem resolution, judgment, decision making skills, and business acumen required

Education & Certifications

· Analytical and math skills: Ability to review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities; ability to collect, analyze and summarize information to a technical level; strong attention to detail; fact based problem solver.
· APICS Certification Preferred

Computer skills

· Ability to work in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface using MS Office Suite software applications
· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel: Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, basic macros, etc.
· Ability to use company-wide ERP/MRP systems

Time Management and organizational skills

· Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments
