Zodiac Aerospace Services Americasis an aftermarket organization supporting Repair, Customer Service Department & Spare Parts Distribution of Zodiac Group's aerospace companies. We are focused on customer support via strategically located FAA approved repair stations, and an Atlanta based central inventory. The Production Manager reports to the Service Center Manager and is responsible for the process of performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations, which result in approving an article for return to service. The Production Manager is responsible for accurate man hour accounting. The Production Manager may delegate all duties to qualified persons as necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the Production Manager of the overall responsibility. The Production Manager has the applicable authority to act on behalf of the repair station.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

· Trains and assists subordinates in the proper work procedures and practices to be followed.
· Assures that appropriate tooling is available for the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations for which the repair station is rated.
· Maintains all shop equipment and tools in a serviceable working condition.
· Ascertains that all necessary maintenance entries on maintenance forms and work orders used by the repair station are executed by the responsible mechanics.
· Maintains the premises of the repair station in a clean and orderly manner.
· Maintain accurate man hour accounting.
· Responsible for review process for all direct reports.
· Responsible for coaching and documenting performance issues and improvement plans for direct reports.
· Initiates parts requisition for stock as required.
· Responsible for quality of work within their scope of responsibility.
· Conducts periodic drills for the purpose of indoctrinating personnel in the proper use and location of fire fighting equipment periodically for serviceability and adequacy.
· Indoctrinates the personnel in observing the safety precautions relevant to the functions for which they may be utilized.
· Makes available to the departments under the Production Manager’s control, the required technical data on all aircraft, and appliances for the maintenance accomplished and keeping the data current with the latest revisions. The data will include manufacturer’s and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, parts specifications, related FAA approved data and any other technical data used by the repair station.
· Assures the proper handling of all parts while in repair process and when work is completed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· A minimum of two (2) years experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
