The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature sets. The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Component and simple assembly design

·
Product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support; individually and collaboratively

Collaboration with engineers of various disciplines to develop products with electromechanical and mechanical content

·
Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring

·
Conduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, support senior colleagues

·
May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goals

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:

·
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field

·
0-3 years of related experience working in a similar role

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Must be proactive, meticulous, organized, and detail oriented

Ability to efficiently resolve problems

Ability to accomplish multiple tasks

Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
