Occupational Summary:

Responsible for learning all aspects of dress cover development. Including, but not limited to, pattern development, pattern draping, use of pattern making software, pattern plotting, fabric, and leather layout, cutting and sewing of covers, pattern release, seat dressing, AutoCAD and file maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):

· Work from blueprints, and other written or verbal instructions.
· Layout and build complete patterns with or without the aid of Cushion Development.
· Reverse-engineer to create dress cover products within the provided statement of work.
· Set up and cut patterns to meet the specified tolerances.
· Sew fabric, leather, e-leather/ vinyl of various weights and lamination thicknesses.
· Able to successfully setup, adjust and operate lock stitch and serge machines.
· Dress completed seats as necessary.
· Maintain patterns to latest revision, with a high quality of workmanship and assume responsibility for work performed.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements :

Knowledge and Skills:

· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
· Aptitude for geometry and three dimensional thinking is an advantage.

Education and Experience:

· A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Some sewing experience helpful.
