Summary

The Engineer, Integration will take ownership and/or support technical engineering projects related to water and waste systems integration, installation and transport elements. Using sound engineering principles, this engineer will work to ensure robust, airworthy designs are attained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Use Catia V5 to create models and drawings for new designs and engineering changes in the development of water and waste system integration and transport element design
· Communicate project status and risks to higher level engineers and managers
· Utilizes sound technical problem solving to own or support ongoing and new projects
· May perform research and/or testing for new development
· Write engineering reports and documents as required
· Follows sound engineering principles to ensure designs and manufacturable and meet airworthiness standards, customer requirements and ZWWS internal standards
· Able to work independently to support engineering efforts.
· Takes responsibility (technical and project management) small/medium projects with support from management and/or higher level engineers.
· Able to interface with existing suppliers and OEMs
· May Interface with new suppliers and OEMs with guidance
· May be required to work within the OEM DMU
· May support proposal activity
· May be responsible for management of BOM
· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience -

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution
· Desired minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in the design and development of aircraft components and/or systems
· Proficiency with Catia V5
· Familiarity with ASMY14 drawing practices including GD&T

Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to move around the office.

Work Environment – The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Travel – Periodical travel is minimal and may be 3-5 days per quarter.
