The Role

An exciting opportunity currently exists at Veolia for an experienced and motivated Mechanic Supervisor based at BP Kwinana Refinery.

Your key responsibilities will be but not limited to:

·
Ensure all jobs are completed in accordance with WH&S and environmental standards, customer expectations and performance targets;

·
Monitoring and reporting equipment failures and opportunities for improvement;

·
Provide on the job training and guidance to apprentices and industrial operators to maintain the reliability of the equipment in a cost effective manner;

·
Supervise and coordinate functions within the workshop/site operations to ensure the completion of jobs in accordance with safety standards, customer expectations and performance targets;

·
Assist and communicate with local site management to manage their maintenance plans to ensure all servicing is completed on time;

·
Assist in the design and implementation of new plant or equipment into operation;

·
Provide leadership and effective communication within the work teams and the business units;

·
Fabrication and welding.

Ideal candidate profile



Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you must have:

·
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety;

·
Must hold a current recognised Trade Certificate;

·
Must hold a Motor Vehicle Repairs Certificate for heavy vehicle work (HVW);

·
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a vehicle service/repair workshop environment;

·
HR or HC Licence is essential;

·
High customer focus and be able to liaise and communicate at all levels.
