Job Title - Class 2 Driver Operative
Salary - £34,718.20 , Plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Veolia, Gerrards Cross, SL9 8TE
Hours - Full time, 48 hours a week and will include some weekend working
What you'll do
We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver operative to join our busy team at our Gerrards Cross site where you will be responsible for collecting waste from commercial businesses, and also loading waste onto the truck. Other duties will include:
Undertaking the necessary daily checks as per the driver/operator handbook
Ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date and handed in daily/weekly
Complying with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads
Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
Ensuring you conform to all site rules when offloading at disposal sites
Carrying out any other duties that may be required as directed by your line manager
Depending on the candidate, carrying out minor defect repairs (training will be provided if required)
Ideal candidate profile
The experience you will need
Category C / Class 2 licence as a minimum and previous driving experience

Where you'll work
The Gerrards Cross depot is a well-established location in Veolia and serves a wide area across South Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and outer London. Veolia's customers include a wide variety of business from small independent companies to large multinationals and high street names. The team consists of 20 drivers and 5 office staff which all work in a supportive and friendly way.
