Job description

Job Title - Class 1 Driver

Salary - Competitive salary ****plus Veolia benefits *listed below

Location - Veolia, Chelmsford WTS, CM2 5PD

Hours - Full time, 50/60 Hours per week, Monday-Sunday on a rota basis

What you'll do

We are looking for a Class 1 driver to join our busy team in Essex where you will be responsible for servicing household waste recycling centres using hook-lift vehicles. Other duties will include:

Undertaking the necessary daily checks as per the driver/operator handbook

Ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date and handed in daily/weekly

Complying with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads

Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area

Ensuring you conform to all site rules when offloading at disposal sites

Carrying out any other duties that may be required as directed by your line manager

Ideal candidate profile

Qualifications :

The experience you will need

Essential :

C+E (Class 1) licence

Driver CPC

Where you'll work

You will be operating hook-lift vehicles and will be operating out of any of our clients 21 recycling centres for household waste across Essex. On these sites products range from household waste, wood, cardboard and Glass to name a few. These products will be tipped at various locations ranging from landfills to waste transfer stations.
