   The position is located in La Verriere R&D site, within Thermal Systemes Business Group team.

Job Description
   As Air Intake System Engineer, your missions will be to propose and develop new systems, control strategies, and components in the Air intake perimeter (Air , EGR ...) of Internal Combustion Engines ICE, to improve engine behaviour, pollutant emissions and CO2 emissions.

In this framework your responsibilities will be as follows :

1.- Develop knowledge on Internal Combustion Engines technologies related to performances, emissions and fuel consumption
• Tech watch updated on a regular basis
• Follow up Regulations evolutions world-wide

2.- Propose and develop new systems in the perimeter of ICE Air Intake systems
• Setup system and component specifications
• Benchmark Valeo “solutions” versus competitors technologies
• Lead creativity and brainstorming sessions
• Contribute to Technical Reviews and Committees to support Project Manager

3.- Projects collaboration
• System definition and components sizing requested for the project milestones
• Participate and/or lead meetings with partners
• Establish tests definition and follow-up testing activities
• Analyse and synthesise tests results

4.- Intellectual property review
• Perform continuous patent searches on air management components and systems
• Issue IDMs for innovative ideas; support IP department in patent filing of these ideas

5.- External/Internal communication
• Collaborate in the preparation of papers and presentations for technical conferences
• Capitalise and share knowledge within Valeo organisation

Team Management
   No

Education & training
   You have an Engineer Master degree with extensive “internal combustion engine” expertise (type IFP School diploma)

Areas of experience
   You have from 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar field. Experiences by a car manufacturer in engine tuning or in an engineering society in the same field would be preferred.
