Talent Acquisition Advisor, Kingston or London

  • Royal Kingston upon Thames (Greater London)
  • HR / Training

Job description

We're building a Talent Resourcing Team who're happy to rip up the sourcing rule book. Taking a future-focused and agile approach when it comes to talent solutions we're ensuring Open Talent Economies are baked into our Talent Resourcing DNA. As a Talent Advisor you will be at the forefront of this transformation.

Whilst you'll own all talent moves within your discipline, this is not a transactional Recruiter role. Yes, you're accountable for hands-on delivery of our live vacancies. But you'll also use market intelligence and your on-the-ground awareness to co-craft our talent sourcing approach; aligning talent strategy with hiring decisions.

Day to day role objectives

· Constantly anticipating business needs; you'll actively approach and engage high-quality passive and active talent, building talent ecosystems that meet our current and future skill and capability requirements.
· You'll work with our Employer Brand communities to develop relevant content that drives engagement in our talent communities.
· Building awareness of the internal and external talent landscape across a range of functions, you'll develop a holistic view of talent in your discipline. Actively engaging and building relationships with internal talent, you'll maintain awareness of where/when our people are ready for their next move.
· You will drive the hiring process for active requirements: from always attending briefing meetings with a pre-emptive list of candidates and the relevant market insights; to setting-up easy and effective selection processes; to effectively screening applications, including reviewing CVs and digital interviews making informed judgements on shortlists; to advising our business on the key skills and characteristics that matter most to our organisation.
· Experience is everything, which is why you'll always provide timely quality feedback to our applicants; turning every candidate into a brand advocate.
· Continually seeking to enhance performance you'll suggest ways to improve talent quality and experience. Ensuring we always attract a diverse and inclusive workforce.
· You are responsible for both achieving your own targets and supporting others so that we excel as a team. Our measures include candidate and hiring manager satisfaction, timeliness of updates, quality of candidate, etc.

About you

Are you a sourcing maestro? We're looking for someone who is used to getting creative to find and cultivate talent ecosystems of both active and passive talent (experience sourcing in more than one specialism preferred). You'll have amazing judgement skills - able to spot potential and convincingly articulate this fit to your hiring community.

You will take an active interest in what we do as a business and how we do it - a commercial focus and inquisitive mind are essential.

Partnering is a huge focus for us, because it's not just what you do, but how you do it that matters. That's why it's key you're a stimulating communicator and credible influencer who can build close relationships. Constructively questioning and influencing whilst maintaining collaborative relationships is key and constant dialogue with Hiring Managers, Business Leaders and HRBPs will come naturally.

Taking a planned and data-focused approach we work at pace in a complex environment. Do you like being busy? You could be managing up to 30 live vacancies as well as delivering against multiple strategic sourcing initiatives and functional projects. All whilst maintaining extremely high standards of performance.

Are you self-motivated and customer-focused, with a collaborative approach and creative thought process? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Make every future a success.
