North American Quality Lead - Hair / Personal Care

Background & Purpose of the Job

The Technical Quality Lead works within the Unilever Supply Chain organizations in North America and is focused on factory operations, implementing, executing, improving and providing technical quality support to manufacturing sites (UL and third party), engineering, R&D and procurement teams for Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, incident reduction, quality risk management and quality improvement .Reporting to the Personal Care Technology Quality Manager, the scope of the role is dependent on: Production across 4 Unilever manufacturing sites based in North America, intended primarily for the North American market. You will, in large part, focus on Global Standard adherence and Regional Regulatory requirements. Your expertise in decision making directly impacts site compliance, consumer safety and quality of Unilever products in the market place impacting our reputation and brand equity. This is a key role in mitigation and management of our Corporate Operational Risk (Design and production of products that meet our environmental, consumer safety and quality standards).

What You'll Need To Succeed

· Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, general sciences or Supply Chain
· At least 3 years of experience in quality with a strong preference for exposure to customer service or logistics related functions
· Knowledge of CAPA methodologies (RCA, 5 Why) and exposure to formalized continuous improvement methodologies (WCM, TPM)
· Mid to advanced level proficiency in quality management systems as well as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio with a strong preference for SAP/SAP QM exposure
