Job description



MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The First Line Manager will oversee operations, manning adjustments and production monitoring and warehouse operations.

To ensure that production concerns are given proper attention and are analyzed and reported in real time

JOB SUMMARY

· Report to work on a shifting basis, must be flexible to rotate to other shift schedules and extended work hours
· Accomplish manning completion every shift to consider all possible manning shortage issues and rotations required to ensure no production stoppages
· Ensure personnel compliance to company rules and regulations, safety/quality protocols, SOPs, production agreements, etc
· Be the primary interface between Management and Shopfloor personnel; understand, compile, relay all production and engineering-related concerns to the proper channel to ensure actions are listed down and prioritized based on risk and production impact
· Respond to equipment breakdowns by activating engineering technicians and contractors, ensuring resumption of operation at the soonest possible time, at highest safety levels, and of reasonable costs
· Ensure all monitoring sheets, inventories, safety checklists are done every shift
· Report the shiftly output and production related losses to the whole production and engineering team
· Conduct toolbox meetings and weekly circle meetings to shopfloor
· Accomplish proactive RCA (root cause analysis) on-site & in-shift of all production/safety related losses
· Ensure that the equipment setpoint and standards are maintained and that all machines are operated at its optimum setting
· Ensure that all major changes that the operator or factory crew will do is aligned with him and is diligently recorded for cascade to other work shifts and to site management
· Ensure that the production plan is met and drive manufacturing excellence targets: OEE, OR by ensuring optimal equipment performance
· Ensure that the declared budget for the production shift is met
· Ensure that Autonomous maintenance (CILT) is applied and is done at the standards set
· Drive opportunities for improvement and focused improvement projects to lower cost, lower waste and increase productivity
· Drive the increase in safety engagements of self and shopfloor to prevent accidents
· Cascade and implement run strategies and projects to the management and production teams
· Identify reporting personnel skill gaps, craft training plans, monitor development of all reporting personnel
· Execute innovations, savings, safety, quality, productivity savings projects to shopfloor and plant

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
· With 1 to 3 years of experience in a factory/production setting
· Open for fresh graduates as well
· Must be willing to work in a 5 to7 day work schedule including working in holidays and weekends.
· Must be willing to work in a morning and night shifting schedule
· Must be comfortable with numbers and analytics
· Must have confidence and good stakeholder management
· Has a proactive mindset in process development and improvements including cost savings and special project delivery
· Able to influence without authority
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Has strong command of English and Filipino language
· Advanced knowledge to Operational in the use of Microsoft Office
· Communication and Presentation skills must be present
· Project Management, Pollution Control, OSH, TPM knowledge is a plus
· Ability to follow systematic instructions (e,g. flow chart, simple logic)
· Encourage participation of factory personnel
