Background & Purpose of the Job

Who You Are & What You'll Do

You will drive and support product innovation for Seventh Generation's core Homecare business on the Ecommerce channel. This will include all aspects of new product development from ideation to product execution with a focus on the unique needs of the channel. You will use your superior communication skills to effectively collaborate with the Ecommerce team, Consumer Insights, Project Management, R&D, Supply Chain and other cross-functional partners. Your passion for innovation within a growing business and multi-category environment, as well as a desire to work in an entrepreneurial, mission based organization will be keys to your success.

· You're a born leader: You will help advance Seventh Generation's mission by delivering effective products that nurture the health of the next seventh generations.
· You're a strategy guru: You will collaborate with Consumer and Market Insights Team to support the development of product positioning and consumer messaging.
· You're a dot connector: You will track and manage assigned product development projects through cross-functional development funnel including claims development, creative and packaging briefs, and development of selling materials.
· You're a changemaker: You will scope out new projects with an eye to deliver on the business opportunity, category needs, consumer insight and including tight technical guardrails to allow the cross-functional project team to execute the brief.
· You're a paradox navigator: You will lead project development that focuses on driving convenience and shippability.
· You're a culture & change champion: You will contribute to our innovation and renovation agenda within assigned categories, through collaboration with brand marketing team and cross-functional areas.

What You'll Need to Succeed

· 1-3 years of marketing or brand management experience in consumer packaged goods setting or ecommerce-focused retailer. Experience within Natural Products industry a strong plus. Commitment to sustainable and socially responsible business a must.
· MBA is preferred.
· Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
· Experience in ecommerce channel is an asset but not required.
· Team player with “can do” attitude.
· Proven ability to understand and consider financial scenarios (e.g. product P&Ls, ROI analyses).
· Experience working within data and interpreting results to drive decision-making – IRI or Neilsen, Spins, and customer-specific databases is an asset.
· Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
· Mature individual with capacity for rapid change and working adeptly within ambiguity.
· Desire to work in a small, entrepreneurial environment and for a socially responsible business.
· Willingness to travel when required.
