Job description

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
To be responsible for effective management/performance of 300- 500 Ha Tea Division and ensure that the Division is managed to highest agricultural standards.

JOB SUMMARY
· Process accurate and timely payroll data to bank.
· Develop tea nursery & deliver sturdy plants.
· Oversee New Tea Development –Land preparation /planting & bringing young tea into bearing sustainably.
· Deliver crop volumes, Quality, while embracing good Agricultural practices in the Division.
· Participate in the preparation of Estate budgets & performance.
· Responsible for the Care & use of Company assets in the Estate/Division.
· Responsible for cascading Company information to the employees in the division.
· Implement all company policies and procedures in the Division
· Monitor & Control expenditure in the Division.
· Coordinate the Recruitment, Training & development of personnel in the Division.
· Link between Company & Community in fostering Corporate Social Relations activities.
· Support the development and review of the plantation strategies
· Ensure Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements are implemented.
· Deliver the business targets aligned to Unilever business strategy in the Division.
· Provide counselling services to employees in the Division.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Graduate in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering or Bachelor of Science or any other relevant experience
· 2 Years experience
· Agronomic skills
· Project and Infrastructure Management
· Industrial Relations/Employee Relations
· Asset Investment and Care
