Background & Purpose of the Job

This position will provide Category Management support for the Discount Channel by evaluating key performance and consumer/shopper Insights to deliver actionable recommendations toward category growth. The chosen candidate will collaborate extensively across customer merchant teams and Unilever Customer Development and Brand team resources. A successful associate will as category steward, uncover opportunities that will enhance customer development, support Unilever initiatives and deliver category market share.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

By utilizing category analytical tools and Unilever’s vast insights capabilities, the associate category manager develops strong advisory relationships with Dollar General as the preferred partner. This position reports to the Discount/Alt Channel Category Management Team Lead and will be based in Nashville, TN. This position will cover a mix of our Personal Care and Foods portfolio.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Four Year College degree, 2-5 years of CPG experience focusing on category management/insights/analytics, curiosity to learn and dig into multiple data sources to determine the best path forward, team mindset, ability to prioritize, strong presentation skills, ability to communicate your ideas, experience with: Neilsen/IRI, Space Planning software, Panel data, Retailer POS data, Excel, PowerPoint.
