Associate Category Management Manager

Background & Purpose of the Job

The Associate Category Development Manager performs a valuable role in building a strong partnership with CVS by developing and implementing insight driven recommendations to grow their respective categories. This position is responsible for leading the development and sharing of Category Management foundations and directives throughout the organization for the assigned category.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

In this role, you will drive Best in Class Category Management principles as well as Consumer and Shopper Insights. You will also provide category expertise and recommendations for your assigned categories. You proactively support your Team Lead and Customer Business Manager(s) on key business opportunities and provide actionable recommendations. You optimize category management tools such as Nielsen and loyalty. You have the key responsibility in developing and employing standardized processes for SKU rationalization and new item projections.

What You'll Need To Succeed

At least 2 years of category management experience with proven ability to analyze information and provide insight driven recommendations. Excellent planning, analytical, communication skills required; Strong PowerPoint, Excel and presentation skills with the experience and working knowledge of category management principles, Nielsen, Shopper/Consumer Insights and CVS ExtraCare loyalty.
