With more than 30 years of experience, Ubisoft Blue Byte is one of the pioneers of the German games industry. At three sites in Düsseldorf, Mainz and Berlin the teams develop high-class gaming experiences. Ubisoft Düsseldorf and Ubisoft Mainz are leading the development of Anno 1800 and The Settlers as well as the VR escape room Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time. As co-developer the teams are supporting titles such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Beyond Good and Evil 2. Ubisoft Berlin is focussing on co-development, including the upcoming Far Cry 6. Ubisoft Düsseldorf is home to several teams dedicated to deliver AAA excellence and innovation across a wide portfolio of games and technologies. Ubisoft Düsseldorf is part of the Ubisoft Blue Byte studio network. 

As part of the production team, you will be involved in the implementation of features and components throughout the full spectrum of web development. You will be using a variety of technologies and programming languages, including but not limited to HTML, JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS / SCSS and frontend frameworks like Vue.js and Angular.

You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of programmers, designers and testers where everyone is willing to share their knowledge and are encouraged to evolve every day. The team spans across several countries and is characterized by passion, collaboration and the love for PC gaming.

You will also have the option to visit and work from collaborating studios.

Responsibilities:

·  Write clear, modular and maintainable code
·  Participate in or lead feature task forces for technical design and implementation/improvement of new features.
·  Testing, debugging, profiling and maintaining existing code
·  Develop and maintain new public-facing web applications, shown in the Uplay PC client and on the web

Qualifications

·  Excellent skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and stylesheet languages (CSS, SCSS, etc.)
·  4+ years of professional programming experience
·  2+ years experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js)
·  Experience with common JavaScript tools and toolchains (e.g., webpack)
·  Experience with common JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g., Jest)
·  Basic knowledge of C++, C#, .NET Core or databases is a bonus.
