Your main tasks will be to:
- Track the European power markets. With strong focus on energy policies affecting plants revenues, including development of support mechanisms for thermal assets, retirement of nuclear and build-up of renewables capacity.
- Develop a tool capable of modeling generation, power prices and future revenues of power assets in Europe, using various approaches: merit-order approach (dispatch model) or econometrics.

Qualifications / experience required :
- Engineering school, business school or university.
- Good listening, analytical and synthetic skills
- Good understanding of the power markets in Europe

- Ability to work independently, to anticipate and prioritize tasks as well as coordinate projects. Good communication skills.

- IT (Powerpoint, Excel). Modelling skills (dispatch models, econometrics or optimization tools). Knowledge of Matlab or Eviews will be appreciated.

- Fluent in English. Some basic understanding of French is a plus.

Contexte et Environnement

 The main objective of the gas division is to maximize the value of the gas produced by the group, which can be sold through bilateral transactions, trading, marketing or development of downstream gas and power projects.
• Business Support (BS) is responsible for the medium to long-term economic valorization studies related to (1) exploration and production prospects as well as downstream projects of the gas division and (2) analysis supporting bilateral negotiation for pipeline gas and LNG (new contracts under negotiation) and management of existing contracts through price reviews.
• BS develops and maintains a very deep business-oriented understanding of the global gas and power market, which allows the development of the valorization studies.
