We are currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer for our Cloud/Platform Development Team. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
⦁ Respond to incident escalations to development team
⦁ Monitor alert emails from production systems and respond to them
⦁ Troubleshoot and diagnose root cause of issues
⦁ Resolve issues and prevent repeat occurrences
⦁ Review log files and troubleshooting data
⦁ Communicate issues to the broader software development team and help with a 360-degree understanding of the problem from a user perspective.
⦁ Write tools/scripts for release engineering (Dev/Ops)
⦁ Work on design and development of items in focused areas where high volume of support incidents are reported.
As an IBM Technical Support Engineer, the candidate will use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver state-of-the-art software. They'll be responsible for ensuring that company software components are expertly designed, tested, debugged, verified and ready for integration into IBM's best-of-breed solutions that help organizations improve their business outcomes in the global marketplace.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 2-4 years of experience in software technical support.
· Must be able to code in at least one language. Preferably in Java or Python
· Proven experience in databases: Oracle/SQL
· Good skills on Linux/Unix-like operating systems.
· Shell scripting with bash
· Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
