About the job

In addition to your role as an expert in the field of project planning, you will provide technical guidance to a team, currently consisting six project coordinators, in your role as an 'initiator'. In this position, you will develop a vision on how the team should be positioned within the organization and how its tasks and activities can be further optimized in the future. The latter will be done in conjunction with project management and related disciplines, such as our team of Financial Project Controllers and our Business Reporting Team. You will further develop this vision together with your team, as well as in consultation with your manager.

The primary tasks of a Project Coordinator consist of:
· Developing, maintaining and communicating the integrated bid and project planning in the Primavera tools, including all contractual, internal, invoicing and sales milestones;
· Monitoring the integrated set of project plans, costs and staffing in line with the Thales Naval procedures and working methods, cost structure and Work Break Down structure;
· Acting as a critical sparring partner for the Project Manager;
· Performing critical path analyses and making recommendations to avoid delays;
· Performing and communicating Earned Value calculations;
· Performing baseline and change control activities in relation to planning;
· Working with your team members to further fine-tune and optimize the work tasks, including anticipating and responding to changes in information needs.

You will operate in the heart of the Naval Project organization and become acquainted with various related and parent disciplines. This position could be a step towards a more general line position within our organization and also offers a range of additional development and career opportunities.

About you

We are looking for a new colleague who:
· Has a relevant HBO (higher vocational training) degree, for example in (technical) business administration;
· Is a proven expert in project planning with Primavera enterprise planning tools;
· Is ready for the next career move, the substantive lead in developing a team;
· Is decisive, a good listener, understands the power of the right feedback, is empathic and involved, and naturally takes responsibility for his own actions;
· Has ample experience with bid and project planning within a medium-sized to large matrix organization;
· Has experience with business administration tools (Oracle, IBM Cognos);
· Is able to shift gear quickly and is good at keeping an overview and setting priorities;
· Is pragmatic, accurate, focused on results and has strong analytical skills;
· Is able to communicate well in both Dutch and English;
· Has demonstrable experience in initiating changes in an existing organization.
