Mechanisms and Solar Arrays Development Design Engineer (M/F)

Based in Cannes (France)

WHO ARE YOU?

Thales Alenia Space is currently looking for an Mechanisms and Solar Arrays development engineering responsible, located in Cannes (France).

Technical skills :
- Master's degree in mechanical, thermal and electric fields

- Knowledge of space industry and environment, micro-mechanics and electro-mechanics

- You can speak, read and write technical documentation in English. You can lead technical negotiations in English

Preferred skills :

-Your openness helps you working in a collaborative environment, and manage a team with numerous interfaces

WHAT COULD WE ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER?

Joining our teams you will be at the heart of most advanced technologies in the field of Mechanisms and Solar Arrays dedicated to the future satellite platforms for Telecommunication, constellations, observation and Science applications

As an Product development engineering responsible, you will be in charge of the following missions :

- Prepare the development plan of the mechanism or Solar Array Product

- Prepare the Engineering Management plan of the engineering development activities

- Manage the engineering team in charge of the development and qualification of the product, according to cost and schedule objectives. This includes the management of electric, mechanics and thermal architects, mechanics and thermal analysts, and CAD operators

- Manage the design trade-offs and make the design choices

- Manage the design reviews and interface with the Customers

- Prepare the inputs for the Assembly, Integration and Tests teams

- Provide a technical support for the procurement of subassemblies and elementary parts of the product under development

- Provide a technical support for the Assembly, Integration and Tests of the first model of family.
