Junior Contract Managers

About the job
As Contract Manager your primary objective will be to manage contractual relationships between Thales and its customers to:

· optimize Thales' profitability by minimizing the contractual and financial risks associated with contract performance and by seeking commercial opportunities during the execution of a contract, and
· protect Thales' commercial position throughout the contract's life cycle.

Your activities will focus on the execution of a contract but you will also be involved in the pre-contractual phase. In the execution of a contract you will be part of the project team. In a pre contractual phase you will support and cooperate with the legal counsel (whose activities are focused on the capture phase of a contract).

You will be part of the Legal & Contracts team of Thales Nederland existing of export control officers, legal counsel and other contract managers.
To achieve the primary objective:

· You will manage contractual obligations throughout the lifetime of a contract. This means that you will ensure that the contractual commitments undertaken by Thales are relevant and consistent and are clearly described and are well understood by those tasked with delivering them.
· You will manage risks and opportunities linked to contractual obligations. You are required to contribute to improving profitability, and to protect Thales' commercial position in the event of a significant contractual problem that could lead to a dispute with the customer, a partner or a subcontractor. For this a highly proactive attitude is required.
· You will manage and record contractual communication, contract amendments and possible claims during project execution.

About you
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in law and have an interest to work in an international and challenging environment where you, besides the legal aspects, will need to understand also the technical, financial and commercial aspects of a contract.
Furthermore, you have a strong and independent personality, are solution-focused, excellent in team work, able to manage different stakeholders and can set priorities. You are client-focused, have excellent negotiating skills and good command of, both oral and written, Dutch and English and are eager to master the contractual arrangements with our customers.
