The internship assignment

Tesla is seeking an intern to be a part of the European Remanufacturing Engineering department. This internship in Remanufacturing Engineering will be based out of our Tilburg, Netherlands facility and is a key connection point between our design, development, and production teams in California and our technicians and service centers worldwide.

The intern will help improve and automate department processes for the battery Remanufacturing department. This will support and expand high voltage battery investigations in Europe. This person will be actively engaged in understanding process related problems and developing software-based solutions.

Learning goals & Tasks

·  Spend time understanding the department processes to improve and automate processes
·  Perform data analysis to generate business insights
·  Design and develop high-volume software and web interfaces
·  Build report interfaces and data feeds

Desired profile

Requirements

·  Pursuing a degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Computer Science or a related field
·  Experience writing code in Python
·  Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
·  High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
·  Ability to be self-managed and to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
·  Available for a period of 6 months
·  Knowledge of C++ and Java
·  Knowledge of Tableau
·  Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
·  Experience writing unit tests and doing test-driven development
