THE ROLE
Our Delivery Supervisors are responsible for delivering an exceptional experience to our customers, developing employees, and managing day-to-day local delivery logistics. The Delivery Supervisor, Lot Management must ensure that vehicles undergo our extensive inspection process, and are prioritized in the most efficient manner for delivery readiness. They manage consistent transport of vehicles between onsite and auxiliary lots, while maintaining the highest of safety standards for both assets and employees. The ideal candidate has the technical acumen to be able to communicate effectively with internal teams, excellent time management abilities and is passionate about leading change and inspiring teams. This role directly supports Tesla’s mission by ensuring an exceptional and memorable buying experience for our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead delivery vehicle preparation team of Vehicle Coordinators and Vehicle Assistants
· Actively set individual and team targets and actively train, coach, and develop them
· Assist in the planning, implementation, and follow up of vehicle prep operational tasks and projects including, but not limited to: vehicle movement coordination in vehicle lots and delivery bays, delivery schedule monitoring, logistics forecasting, lot organization and maintenance, and coordinator support
· Lead vehicle and key management of new/used and trade-in vehicles
· Maintain safe and efficient organization and transport of vehicles between onsite and offsite Tesla parking lots
· Ensure vehicles have gone through a vehicle inspection process that is in alignment with vehicle quality standards, calibrate inspectors and share feedback with the Vehicle Quality Team
· Have strong understanding of Tesla vehicle management systems to forecast, track, and monitor vehicle movement
· Determine resources needed to ensure vehicle preparation for customer appointments are staffed appropriately
· Work collaboratively with other departments, particularly Customer Experience, Delivery Operations, and Service
· Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both inside and outside the company
· Monitor daily deliveries, create reporting metrics, and actively review information with management
Desired profile
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience with evidence of exceptional ability
· Prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry; automotive expertise is not required
· Experience leading teams and managing a diverse group of roles and responsibilities
· Strong and proven experience leading field, technical repair or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with strong customer facing responsibilities
· Experience running complex processes using Lean or other techniques
· Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines
· Proven ability to problem solve and achieve results
