The Technical Trainer is primarily responsible for: Directing the development of training including scoping the training topics, determining the media format, and setting deliverable timeline. Qualifying other internal business units trainers to deliver the Schilling technical training. Delivering local and remote technical training courses.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Delivers technical training courses on Schilling Robotics Manipulators and Remote Operated Vehicles and their sub components to customers in both Schilling and remote customer facilities.
• Understands and demonstrates the application of adult learning principles to training delivery to help ensure learner success in the class.
• Objectively assesses knowledge transfer to learners and strives to increase knowledge transfer to learners by implementing new delivery methods, exercises and course materials.
• Partners with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course content reflects current product features.
• Working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and others to create new content such as documentation, presentations, activity prompts, and facilitator's guides.
• Responsible for course content and classroom materials for classroom instruction, such as participant guides, PowerPoint presentations and drawings depicting the operation and hardware layout of Company products.
• Responsible for training equipment acquisition and maintenance.
• Maintain a current knowledge of training technology to identify potential opportunities to increase the effectivity of the technical training.
• Assist with engineering development testing.
• Maintain high technical knowledge of our current product lines.
• Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of experience working with FMC Schilling Robotics' products and/or similar industry equivalent in a technical or field support role.
• 2+ years delivering and/or developing training preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, control and hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to demonstrate exceptional presentation skills of technical content in a learning environment.
• Demonstrates the highest personal and ethical standards.
• Knowledgeable in MS Windows Embedded and MS Office Suite.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledgeable of systems engineering principles.
• Maintain offshore training certification
• Preferred Skills:
o Experience with Schilling Robotics products.
o Experience working with ROV and/or subsea products in oil & gas exploration industry.
o Offshore or first-hand client interaction experience.
o SolidWorks experience.
o Oracle Cloud Services

RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Requires approximately 30% travel time. Potential shop exposure if visiting that work environment for extended periods of time which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.

Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Some potential exposure to possible shop hazards when visiting the shop/field environment that includes high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic.
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required sit for long periods of time; use hands and arms to perform repetitive motion talk and/or hear.
• Frequently subjected to interruptions and multiple calls and inquiries.
• Wear steel toe shoes, safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as needed in safety zone areas.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
