System Engineer SW configuration - Subsea Control System is wanted!

We are seeking the sharpest minds to take our world-class Subsea Production Control System technology even further. To meet new challenges and opportunities we have a challenging opportunity for ambitious and motivated System Engineer to our Subsea Controls SW department in TechnipFMC's Controls and Automation department.

As our new team member you'll be initially working with Control system SW configurations, mainly related to production systems and Production safety systems. As a configuration engineer you are involved during project execution, test and support activities as a part of the Subsea Control System project deliveries

Our department located in Kongsberg, has global standardization responsibility in addition to project execution tasks, for all SW configurations used in TechnipFMC subsea control systems world-wide. Additional part of the job will be support to other regions.

The role will also be responsible for Safety Software configuration both for Subsea Production Control Systems and Workover Control Systems.

Primary accountabilities and responsibilities:
· 
Specify and establish SW configurations according to project and system requirements

· 
Establish specifications and documentation needed in the project

· 
Participate in Software System tests

· 
Assist in the standardisation of configuration management

· 
Cooperate with people working with other products in the control system

· 
Support the TechnipFMC service organization on standardization, technical guidance and general support activities.

Our new candidate have following competency and background:

Education as BSc or MSc in Mechatronics, Cybernetics, Automation or similar.

Capability to work with Computer based tools and systems. Also interest for safety systems is an advantage. Capability and motivation to work with lab-based activities, setup and execution of test systems. Knowledgeable within Network and IP management will be benefitable.

Personal capabilities :

You are solution oriented, have good communication skills, structured to solve complex problems, working well in cross-functional teams Both experienced and new educated candidates will be evaluated. By being eager to learn and taking on new challenges can compensate for experience.
