Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

· No direct reports, but orients, trains, assigns, monitors and checks work of Receiving Coordinators. Provides input to Supervisor on performance and disciplinary issues.
· Work independently on assignments involving more varied and complex issues without direct supervision.
· Rely on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications and implements creative and unique solutions to solve problems.
· Effectively collaborates with other departments and assists with cross functional projects and has
Daily collaboration with individuals from all functional areas of Subsea Services.
· Communicates with FMC Technologies employees via telephone or email when material has arrived for their specific project Contacts purchasing when discrepancies have been found that need to be addressed to the vendor. Arranges delivery schedules and locations for large/heavy non‐inventory items to specific areas with the owner/responsible party of the product. Interfaces with employees requesting materials.

POSITION DUTIES:
· Reviews daily team requirements and oversees the receiving workload and schedule. Plans and communicates the work assignments of the Receiving Team to ensure that workload requirements are met. Plans and recommends overtime requirements.
· Maintains a continuous flow of material from receiving to inspection and on to the warehouse.
· Trains, monitors and coaches team members to improve skill level, to ensure adherence to principles, policies and standards and to improve safety, quality and process reliability in a cost effective manner.
· Models safe work practices and provides leadership in achieving safety goals. Ensures that safety awareness is on-going. Performs weekly safety checks of Receiving Area (Inside) and Inventory Area (Outside) and reports to Supervisor. Ensures that corrective actions are made and preventative actions are put in place before issues arise.
· Ensures that team members are trained to visually inspect parts being offloaded from trucks to detect possible damage incurred due to improper packaging and loading. Contacts Purchasing and Suppliers by telephone or email to resolve all delivery discrepancies and packaging, damaged goods and safety issues.
· Ensures that quantities delivered by vendors are correct per the packing list. Contacts Purchasing and Suppliers on any delivery discrepancies and safety issues.
· Ensures that all team members are following proper documentation procedures for traceability on subcontract orders, Customer Property inventory transactions, cycle counts, etc.
· Matches paperwork received after Documentation Review to the physical part and moves to inspection making sure that the proper product protection has been addressed on each part.
· Offloads Valued material delivered from the Vendors, completes the Material Receipt, tags the parts and delivers paperwork Quality for processing.
· Accommodates employees requesting materials on a timely basis to minimize work disruption. Ensures that all material movement has proper paperwork to ensure record and inventory accuracy.
· Schedules delivery times for after hour and weekend deliveries of “Hot” Material. Arranges delivery schedules and locations for large/heavy items to specific areas with the owner/responsible party of the product.
· Independent resolution of problem purchase orders.
· Ensures that good housekeeping is practiced and ensures that various security, environmental and safety regulatory requirements are met.
· Emphasizes safety to all new hires and ensures proper safety procedures are being followed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· High school education/GED
· Experience operating various types/styles of material handling equipment.
· Required 2+ years of SAP or comparable ERP System experience.
· Accuracy and attention to detail important.
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is important.
· Ability to read and understand drawings.
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is important.
· Able to understand and communicate within diverse cultural environments.
· Three to five years of experience in receiving, materials, warehousing or related areas in a similar environment and complete understanding of receiving, operations, safety and quality procedures.
· Knowledge and proficiency in basic PC operation using Microsoft Office, and logistics systems.
· Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Proven problem solving ability.
· Self‐Motivated.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some physical lifting of material is required (usually under 50 pounds). Climbing onto the larger forklifts and some trucks to ensure safe unloads of large equipment is necessary. Stands, walks and bends 100% of time. Use material handling equipment for lifting of material over 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse, receiving, NRB, workshop, indoor and outdoor storage yard. Employee is exposed to normal/high shop noise, extreme temperatures from working both inside and outside
