DEPARTMENT:
Reports to the Manager, in the Quality Management System Hub of the Quality Department in Houston, TX.
POSITION PURPOSE:
¡ Responsible for supporting and ensuring product and service quality in North America. Identifies Quality Management System problems through observation, analysis and audit and provides recommendation and support for resolution.
¡ Thisposition is a solid independent contributor able to completely work independently on assignments involving varied and complex issues without direct supervision. Recognized as a Quality expert and thought leader within the department and organization.
¡ Thispositionisexpected to be able to solve and make modifications as needed in order to complete goals within budgetary and functional and or project scope constraints.
¡ May have team leadership responsibilities.
¡ Effectively coaches other employees within the group and internal customers.
¡ Contributes to strategic program development and improvements.
POSITION DUTIES:
¡ Perform and/or lead regional internal Quality Management System Audits (ISO and API Q1/Q2)
¡ Manage audit report findings to closure through the use of Synergi
¡ Participate in development and delivery of audit training programs
¡ Develop regional audit schedules
¡ Provide facilitation of Root Cause Analysis for audit findings when needed
¡ Manage Quality Registrar Audits and certifications as assigned (ISO and API)
¡ Maintain Quality databases in SharePoint, Synergi and other platforms
¡ Provide regular performance reporting
¡ Maintain awareness and communication of revisions to standards (ISO and API as applicable)
¡ Coordinate and facilitate Quality Management Review Meetings, subsequent actions items and records
¡ Issue, revise and review Quality Management System Documentation, ensuring quality of documentation, integrity of the QMS and continued compliance with applicable standards and the Global Business Process Management System
¡ Provide Business Process Management System mapping support in Qualiware
¡ Lead and/or support process improvements by focusing on prevention and enhancements of the hubâs scope and responsibilities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
¡ Bachelorâs Degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
¡ At least five years of related experience including at least two years of experience in the Quality Assurance field
¡ Experienced in supplier or procurement quality or engineering field preferred
¡ MasterBlack Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt and/or lean six sigma certification preferred
¡ ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering is preferred
¡ Lead Auditor Certification or Training (ASQ, RABQSA, or similar)
¡ Root Cause and Corrective Action experience (FMEA/FMECA preferred)
¡ Knowledge of inspection tools, measurement and calibration system preferred
¡ Knowledge of ISO 9001 (International Standard Organization) / API Q1 (American Petroleum Institute equivalent), Interpretation of Customer requirement
¡ Experience in facilitating and conducting Management of Change
¡ Strong Sharepoint, Synergi, SAP and Qualiware experience a plus
¡ Ability to transfer subject matter expertise and understanding to other employees and/or clients
¡ WORK ENVIRONMENT: Spends most of time in an office environment. Performs audits in manufacturing environments. Travels 30% of time and may include international travel. May occasionally visit the shop and be exposed to possible hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and shop traffic.
¡ PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting and operating a computer or participating in meetings. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Gives frequent presentations which may require lengthy periods of standing.
