Production Supervisor-Weekend Nights

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform facilitation duties of direct reports on shop floor to insure production schedules are followed to create customer success. Ensure all safety, operational, and quality assurance guidelines and policies are supported and enforced. Support the development and implement continuous improvement processes through lean manufacturing and 5's event throughout the manufacturing operation.

MAIN TASKS:

· Facilitate 20 to 30 direct labor reports on the manufacturing floor.
· Insure adherence to schedule in all work centers to support on time delivery goals to customer.
· Support and problem solve issue that arise in machining and assembly areas.
· Manage and coach direct reports to insure productive results.
· Responsible for approving and tracking employee's time
· Develop and implement continuous improvement processes throughout the mfg operation
· Properly communicate production information to Product Line Manager and Ops. Manager.
· Optimize and maintain the SAP capacity planning models
· Develop and expand the capability and effectiveness of direct reports and the production workforce.
· Enforce company policy and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or GED Required.
· Facilitation experience preferred.
· Shop floor manufacturing experience preferred.
· Ability to lead, motivate and delegate
· Computer skills including MS Office, project/scheduling software, and SAP software are required
· Valid Drivers License
· Must demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills, interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Shop floor with air-conditioned shop environment. Noise levels in some area of shop require hearing protecting. Some office work at desk on computer in air-conditioned office environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Ability to lift 50 lbs. Climb stairs and walking of manufacturing area on routine bases. Ability to drive a forklift.
