DEPARTMENT:
Reports to the Manager/Supervisor, in the Western Region Subsea Services Organization Unit in Houston, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Production Control Planner manages and facilitates work orders in the Subsea Services workshop. The maintenance, modification and repair (MMR) work orders coordinated by the Production Control Planner serve to prepare equipment for customer use according to operational requirements and priority. The Production Control Planner develops tactical MMRS execution plans in support of forecasted and active Subsea Services projects. Planners perform all service order management functions including, but not limited to, sub-order creation, workshop capacity evaluation, workshop dispatching and scheduling, service notification/quality notification initiation and completion, third party service coordination, and some inventory analysis to ensure the project execution plan can be delivered according to customer requirements.

• Works with regular indirect supervision.
• Able to do broad-scope inventory analyses, and able to make decisions based on such analyses.
• Able to execute inventory carrying, usage, and planning decisions based on own research and decision-making with some consultation with Manager/Supervisor.
• Regularly interfaces with inventory management and warehouse department, engineering, work shop and project teams when making decisions requiring judgment or resolving issues requiring creative solutions.
• Able to make assessments about supply/demand issues, recommend thorough solutions, and take initiatives to address those issues with direct input from supervisors.
• Able to perform analyses on processes related or including materials planning activities, and recommend and implement process changes to improve results.
• Errors detected indirectly by way of reviewing excess inventory, part shortages, and excessive expediting.
• Possible impact includes late assembly starts, missed on-time deliveries, expensive excess inventory, and higher product costs due to expediting.
• The impact of the errors could lead to loss of FMC Technologies market share and poor financial performance of the Subsea Services Business.
• Frequent contact with Operations Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers, Customer Operations Planners, Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, HS&E, and all Shared Services within Subsea Services.
• All interaction with internal stakeholders occurs to ensure proper execution according to customer requirements.
• No direct reports.
• No budgetary responsibility.
MAIN TASKS:
• Interprets internal customer inputs for development of onshore services scope of work.
• Develops Tactical Project Execution Plan for workshop.
• Forecasts resources to support the Project Execution Plan (i.e. Personnel, Tooling, Parts, Equipment, Capacity, Facilities, etc.)
• Creates all Onshore Shop sub-service orders and the management of those orders (i.e. dates, scheduling, tracking, shortages, status, review for compliance to requirements)
• Reports Project Execution Plan maintenance and status to internal customers.
• Reports internal feedback to Asset Planner and other internal customers to include but not limited to: capacity planning, schedule creation and review, and schedule impact.
• Reports routine status to operations and other internal customers.
• Creates and maintains short range (1-3 week) SAP workshop schedule, to include de-confliction of competing requirements and resources to create internal and external customer success.
• Provides feedback to internal customers regarding delivery capability, work order variances, and project status.
• Focuses on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture and initiatives.
• Learns continuously within the planning organization.
• Represents Subsea Services in a positive manner in events with stakeholders in our business.
• Supports processes documentation and employees complying with FMC Technologies and/or Subsea Services specific approved procedures, processes, and standards.
• Communicates business critical events clearly to Asset Service Manager/Supervisor.
• Actively participates in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for the Subsea Services Asset Services Organization.
• Monitors and manages procurement (dock to stock) to include but not limited to: shortage management and corrective action, pick requests, expediting, purchase requisitions for outside services.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent years of experience.
• Generally 2+ years of experience in field.
• Requires basic industry knowledge of functional theories and practices.
• Understands the components of department or project priorities related to the work being performed.
• Ability to recognize contractual requirements and variances from standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Recognizes when to consult with other departmental functions.
• Ability to identify deviations from standards.
• Strong computer proficiency with applicable software applications in related field.
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail is important.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities of self, team and/or project is important.
• Familiar with compliance, regulatory and technical risks and the mitigation of those risks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment with frequent trips to the shop and to other offices in the plant. Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and shop traffic.
• 70% working in office environment with extensive computer activity.
• 25% working in manufacturing environment, seeking status of operations in workshop.
• 5% working offsite, attending industry conferences, conducting customer surveys etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Some travel for organizational needs and vendor and/or client contact may be required.
