For this vacancy, TechnipFMC in Colombia is looking for a mechanical engineer who supports the engineering and sales department in the creation of designs, design analysis, evaluation of equipment systems and generation of new equipment designs under corporate guidelines.

In TechnipFMC you must interact with different actors at national and international level for engineering processes. Because of this, we are looking for a product engineer preferably with experience in the oil sector with the ability to read, interpret and prepare applicable technical information and suggest design / process changes to ensure simple, functional and cost effective results.

You will have the opportunity to travel to national and international level.

Job description
·  Make basic technical observations, analysis and modification of simple components.
·  Knowledge of engineering practices, design methods and calculations.
·  Ability to read, interpret and prepare applicable technical information and suggest design / process changes to ensure simple, functional and cost effective results.
·  Knowledge of trends and economic conditions that affect the technical field.
·  Understand the concepts of engineering theory specific to the area of specialty and / or unique product, including the requirements of codes and criteria.
·  Prepares reports, correspondence, procedures, specifications and technical calculations. Prepare technical data and documents for sales staff, customers and publications using a good internal presentation and report writing skills.
·  Occasionally travel to field sites to help with product-related problems or obtain application data.
·  Help estimate product costs.

You are meant for this job if

·  BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering Soft skills.
·  Experience in the area of ​​mechanical equipment engineering <2 years.
·  Information Systems / Design Software.
·  Interact with differents levels or the organization, also different cultures.
·  Fluent in Spanish and English.
