HR & Safety Intern

At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won't find anywhere else. We are looking for a Human Resource/Health Safety & Environment Intern who can join our team in Odessa, Texas. This intern will manage the onboarding process, data compilation, and community service projects for HR. They will support various HSES activities including training and safety procedural projects. Also, they will provide support to the HRBP & Safety departments by assisting with the day to day tasks.

Job description

ยท  Assist with New Hire Orientation and employee onboarding processes
ยท  Coordinate with Security on badge creation
ยท  Submit employment verification items to Recruiting Department
ยท  Assist with monthly HSE training, content development and tracking of completion
ยท  Assist with HR and Safety metrics and statistical analysis
ยท  Assist with updating HSE policies and procedures
ยท  Assist with development of risk assessments and job safety analysis documents
ยท  Maintain department filing, scanning and archiving of documentation
ยท  Direct employees to the appropriate resources for assistance
ยท  Responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner
ยท  Support HR and Safety in fleet and drug policy compliance
ยท  Other duties as assigned by HRBP & HSE Manager

You are meant for this job if

ยท  Completion of 1 year in higher education. Seeking Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
ยท  PC Skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
ยท  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations.
ยท  Ability to execute tasks independently.
ยท  Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.
ยท  Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an environment with large volumes of data and paperwork.
ยท  Attention to detail.
ยท  Strong work ethic; driven.
ยท  Availability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week. Ability to work on Mondays is preferred.
