GRADUATE PROCESS ENGINEER ASSISTANT

Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects. May also support procurement and construction phases or projects with engineering knowledge and experience. Performs other duties as required.

Reporting lines and interactions:

Hierarchically reports to: Process Manager

Operationallyreports to: Project lead, Process Engineer

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

Work activities include compiling data for project reports, collecting and compiling field data as required, assisting in proposal efforts as directed, documenting technical data for management review, providing other entry level duties as assigned, assisting with preparation of labor/material estimates and design packages for clients. Other duties include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering. Engineering Reports are often a work product. Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures. All engineering disciplines are included in this Job Family.

Typical background and experience required:

Typically is a college/university graduate with a Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent. (2.1 or above)Develops competence in own area by performing routine work. Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a discipline or skill. Applies knowledge and skills to complete own work. Understands relationships between work processes and the business. Is aware of costs related to own work. Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others. Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding. Builds team effectiveness skills within own work team
