Job Description


Working in the Pipeline Materials and Manufacturing (PMM) team, the Graduate Materials Engineer has a unique opportunity to work across an exciting range of challenges in the field of metallurgy, polymer science and manufacturing and design of pipe ancillaries. The role requires the timely delivery of robust technical solutions to TechnipFMC project teams globally. Under the direction of the PMM Technical Manager, the Graduate Materials Engineer will fulfil this objective in three key operational areas:

¡Engineering support, where the primary objective of the work is to deliver expert support to regional project teams during the FEED, tender and execution phases of a project;

¡Technology development, where the primary objective of the work is to deliver new PMM technologies to the group, and to advise on materials related challenges on new products which are being developed for the group;

¡Engineering consolidation, where the primary objective of the work is to deliver standardised engineering practices, tools, standards and specifications across the group within the PMM technical field.


You are meant for this role if you have:

Essential Professional Qualification / Experience:

¡Minimum MEng/MSc degree in Mechanical, Structural or Manufacturing Engineering.

Desirable Professional Qualification / Experience:

¡Basic knowledge of common pipeline and metallic products manufacturing processes;

¡Engineering with polymer and composite materials

¡Preference for knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry, particularly with SURF and SPS;

¡Preference for knowledge of FMECA and 6-sigma.
