Job title – Field Service Technician

Job purpose :

Be fully responsible & accountable for safety of self and others

·  Hold safety, quality of workmanship and efficiency as values
·  Successfully complete SST provided by TechnipFMC training center
·  Contribute actively to all safety systems such as safety meetings, STOP cards
·  Contribute actively to Engineer's Reading File
·  Report actively any field non-conformance (FNCR) process
·  Achieve target utilization of 17 days/month
·  Read and understand wellhead drawings / engineering drawings and should be able to make free hand sketch to explain the job or an issue on the job.

Reporting lines and interactions:
·  Hierarchically reports to: Lead Discipline Engineer / Discipline / Department Manager

·  Operationally reports to: Group Leader / Lead Discipline Engineer.
·  Directly supervises (operationally): Possibly Draftsmen.

Key interactions (internally, externally):
·  Internally : Designers of other disciplines, specialist engineers.
·  Externally : None.

Key interactions (internally, externally):
·  Internally: Lead Discipline Engineer, Other site discipline field engineers and Project manager.
·  Externally: Sub-contractors, vendors.

Profile:
Must have:

·  Graduate Engineer / Diploma or equivalent trade qualifications
·  Minimum 5 Years of Well-Head & Oil Field Experience.
·  Previous experience in direct technical service or field operations is preferred and familiarity with offshore/onshore installations is a must. The nature and working environment of the position calls for good interpersonal skills, mobility, effective verbal and written abilities in English and Arabic, and a valid driving license.
·  Possess recognized Mechanical Engineering experience or Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
·  Read and write in “English” clearly in detail
·  Write job reports in detail and clearly.
·  Communicate in “English” clearly in order to update the customer / TechnipFMC office.
·  Create wellhead “stack up “drawings using Microsoft “Visio”
Should be able to work on “Microsoft office excel and word”.

Main Accountabilities

·  Safe work i.e. with Full HSE Compliance
·  Successfully complete all required training by TechnipFMC
·  Achieve acceptance as standalone FST, with positive attitude
·  Be recognized by the customer
·  Supervise wellhead and Xmas Tree installations, maintenance and repair operations as required by the company at wellsite locations, onshore and offshore
·  Pre-job preparation of wellhead equipment and trees including preparation of checklist and maintain record
·  Testing & Servicing of wellheads and valves
·  Attendance at customer FAT's for any assembling and testing
·  Well Surveys to assess condition and record information
·  Inspect and assess wellhead installation tools.
Carrying out the following mechanical services on wellheads and Xmas Trees:
·  Bolt Torqueing
·  Casing Cutting
·  Seized wellhead bolt cutting
·  Onsite Machining
·  Seized Lock Down Screw tip removal

·  Be prepared to travel locally and internationally to other regions as required
·  Be prepared to work unsupervised as required
·  Drive self – development to become knowledgeable of all products & services
·  Any other reasonable duties as and when instructed by your superiors
