Mission and responsibilities

As a reinforced concrete designer and steel frame, you will be in charge of designing and executing drawings for a building project. With the help of calculation notes and sketches provided by the engineers, you will draw the concrete drawings (formwork and reinforcement) or of steel structure as well as the follow-up of the quantities. You will participate in the structural choices and will also benefit from building architecture skills. You will report to the group leader or the engineer who will supervise you as part of a project. These prerogatives in design or execution phases may also extend to site monitoring.

Depending on the technical and budgetary requirements you will need to:
- Draw architecture drawings, concrete structure and metal framework and mass plans in a 2D software
- Draw the different elements in the 3D model with the appropriate settings
- Read a specification and interpret the data related to the works to make the design
- Read the drawings of the other specialties and take out the interface elements in relation to the works and the loading data
- Develop constructive solutions related to interfaces
- Detect interferences and propose a solution to the Group Leader
- Initiate all types of take off at the level of drawings
- Propose solutions from an economic point of view, minimize the quantities
- Check documents prepared by design centers, suppliers and construction companies

Profile

Owner of a BsC (BTS or DUT or Bachelor) (or self-taught with 5 years of experience) in one of the specialties (building, reinforced concrete, steel frame) and justify a first experience of 3 years in office structure or architecture building, if possible with projects in the industrial field. You practice current 2D drawing software (Autocad, Microstation) 3D modeling (Tekla, Revit), and you are familiar with international standards and norms.
Proactive and creative, good interpersonal skills and a team spirit will be the keys to your success in this position. You are mobile for travel abroad, operational French and English for written and oral communication and writing on drawings is mandatory.
