Who are we looking for?

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical degree from an accredited college or university
·  Minimum of 4 years Manufacturing Execution Systems experience

Desired

·  Experience implementing software used in shop floor environments
·  Experience implementing infrastructure in shop floor environments
·  Experience with Plant Information Management Systems, including RFID
·  Prior experience in Manufacturing system analysis, design and specification development
·  Experience with SAP ERP platform
·  Leadership experience in the areas of IT Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality
·  Experience with Data Collection, Data Visualization
·  Experience in High Available, private cloud systems including programming level

What will you be doing?

The MES Project Developer will drive operational excellence by developing & managing a multi-year investment in our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) as well as developing Wireless Systems (Bar Code & RFID) for human & physical capital asset management. This individual will interact with local team members, global manufacturing & IT resources to define business & technology requirements that provide 21st century solutions for plant data-gathering & analysis systems.

 

In addition, the MES Project Developer will:

·  Have operational experience with Factory Automation Equipment and in-depth knowledge of how this equipment interfaces to business applications
·  Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices
·  Support MES (GE Proficy) applications as-required and understand data flow on MES layer
·  Be hands-on with MES (GE Proficy) configuration and development
·  Have good understanding Microsoft programing language like c#, VB, etc.
·  Have good understanding scripting frameworks, like jQuery,
·  Have good understanding database languages, (MS SQL)
·  Discuss needs with Manufacturing personnel in a non-technical language
·  Analyze customer requests, understand need and develop Functional Specifications
·  Translate functional requirements into System Design Specifications
·  Develop estimates and budgets for system development
·  Identify potential process improvement projects
·  Project manage through implementation/post-implementation
·  Communicate teams’ progress to Champions, Business Leaders and Quality Organization
·  Propose process technology improvements and capital expenditures
·  Have a detailed understanding of all shop floor and administrative business processes
·  Support all existing shop-floor/interface applications
·  Have good understanding of all Infrastructure related activities critical to MES execution (LAN, WAN, Servers, Cluster on application level and on server level)
·  Be accountable for local training and documentation control procedures
·  Be a professional who is self-motivated and driven to accomplish company initiatives
·  Have good interpersonal skills and strong working relationships with the local business team
·  Have effective communication and administrative skills
