Job Description

You will be part of the technical team within Estuaire and work closely with our collaborators in charge of technology. This Senior Data-scientist role will cover the following responsibilities:

· 
Aviation Climate Science - bring Estuaire’s expertise to the roof

·  Together with our academic & industrial partners, build & deploy state of the art climate models for aviation based on scientific research
·  Develop the company expertise on the non-CO2 effects of aviation such as contrails, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) & aircraft performance modeling
· 
Product & Tech - embed our expertise into killer products

·  Prototype & iterate on new apps / data features to bring climate science to market
·  Enhance our data platform with improved data ingestion, processing & accessibility
·  Optimize our pipelines & computations to support scaling
·  Analyze the use of our products by existing customers & refine user needs for roadmapping
· 
Impact - drive customers to mitigate their climate impact

·  Operations: work closely with customers & deliver data to support decision making on sustainability
· 
Aviation sustainability ambassador - spread the word

·  Support the commercial effort at tradeshows or when drafting commercial propositions
·  Communicate and educate our community on the best ways to reduce the impact of the sector

Preferred Experience

We are looking for the following qualifications but do not worry if not matching all of them :

· 
Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

· 
2-4 years of experience, as an engineer or scientist, in an aerospace company

· 
Knowledge in data-science is mandatory with ability to write efficient code in Python

· 
Candidate should be curious, autonomous and a reliable team player with interest for sustainability & impact

· 
Fluent in french is a plus but not necessary, we speak day to day in english

· 
“This cannot work” is a sentence you use very carefully

Recruitment Process

· 
A first interview with our co-founder in charge of tech (30-45 min) :

-Get-to-know and discussion about experience, motivation and interests

-Short technical challenge “e.g. how does an airplane fly?”

· 
A second interview with our other co-founder (30-45 min)

-Get-to-know and discussion about experience, motivation and interests

-Live case to understand your reaction to a specific business problem and how we can solve it as a team

· 
A third interview with the tech team (1h):

-Technical case to prepare & present around data science & aerospace engineering
