Job Overview and Responsibilities:

· The candidate’s primary objective is to provide best in class technical service and customer support in the use of our products and to achieve the commercial objectives of the Mineral Processing business
· Develop forecast and maintain excel-based tools to accurately forecast reagent needs to enable inventory management, financial performance, and service level achievement for our customers
· Support existing customers and uncover new opportunities by conducting lab work to uncover new growth opportunities as well as provide technical training in the safe application of our products in the flotation process
· Defend current business and lead/support trial activities including NPI (New Product Introduction) and non-NPI
· Ensure and maintain multi-level contact at our customers, in a planned and disciplined manner to facilitate the timely execution of project plans through sound commercial relationships
· Develop strategic account plans to advance projects and/or exploit new opportunities
· Support customers in resolving non-routine technical issues and troubleshooting
· Apply and safeguard the application of Solvay safety regulations in all circumstances
· Ensure compliance to internal reporting requirement including but not limited to call report / service report / call out report / monthly highlights / trial proposals / trial reports
· Comply to Solvay policies such as code of conduct, anti-bribery, anti-trust, business travel expense guidelines

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, metallurgy, chemistry or other applicable
· Previous experience in Mineral Processing business

Skills:

· Ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English and Spanish
· Hands on skills to conduct lab and plant trials are the highest priority
· Be a self-motivator with skills in problem solving
· Demonstrate good technical and commercial sense with a high focus on value selling
· Desire to build excellent customer relationships while promoting Solvay products to the benefit of the client
· Be a strong team player with focus on compliance to company policies
· Demonstrate a hunter personality
· Able to operate in a global/virtual organization
