Statistical and Forecast Analyst Intern - M/W

Your mission will be to improve the statistical forecast calculated by the Dynasys software . This software contains statistical model and your main responsibilities will be to:

● Analyze the behavior of the sales history depending of the market of each business of Solvay

· Identify key factors which are affecting the statistical forecast, in order to choose the appropriate statistical method
· Document the different statistical method to use, with a business approach so that it gets usable by demand planners.

● Provide support to the demand planners

· Identify opportunities for system and process enhancements
· Compare the forecast accuracy based on the different forecasts we manage in the tool and the timing (Month-1; Month-2, etc…): statistical forecast, customer forecast, sales team forecast and final forecast

DynaSys is a S&OP tool covering the demand planning, the distribution planning and production planning at mid and long term horizon. The tool contains statistical method and tools in order to generate a statistical forecast.

Profil recherché

·  Degree in Mathematics (statistic, data analytics), Engineering Grande Ecole or Supply Chain.
·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·  Very good communication skills: able to speak in English & French
